Control suited to the application
Industrial drives may offer different speed and torque control modes. The mode should match the process and motor type. Capabilities differ between drive families.
Two product-family examples
ABB describes Direct Torque Control, or DTC, for ACS880. Santerno describes selectable speed and torque modes for synchronous and asynchronous motors in the SINUS PENTA family.
From product overview to configuration
A product overview is not a commissioning procedure. The technical team should review motor data, hardware configuration and the model-specific firmware manual. Do not transfer settings between devices without checking their compatibility.
